Sentinels For Christ :: I See You

I See You

I breathe deeply, eating of the bread of life with Jesus this morning. I need Him as much as the leaves on the trees, the flower on the daffodil or the ink on this paper. I draw in deeply of all that He says I am and can be in His Word. This is where I can truly find God’s will, His work, His purposes taught by the Father and like Christ, I can fulfill all that is written in the scriptures concerning me. “In Christs’ use of the scripture, the most remarkable thing is this: He found Himself there, and He saw there His own image and likeness. And He gave Himself to the fulfillment of what He found written there.”

I find myself walking through the lessons of total abandonment to Christ. Sold out, dependent on all that I need in life. In the expanding of my tent pegs and strengthened by His Spirit for a most difficult season, being led into the realm of Kingdom living. Everywhere I went, looked, stepped, I saw evidence of His hand. In His plan and course, through suffering to glory, Christ had but one thought: “to be what the Father said He should be, to have His life correspond exactly to the image of what He should be as He found it in the Word of God.”

We too can find our likeness of what He means us to be in His Word. It is especially in Him, His example and likeness that we can find our own image.

“Being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2nd Corinthians 3:18), we must in the scripture -glass gaze on that image as our own. The Holy Spirit can teach us to take Jesus Christ as our own example, and to gaze on every feature as the promise of what we can be.

It is no longer a question of “can I?” because I can! To gaze on Him is to see myself.

I look into the Word and I see me. My gaze travels from the page to my backpack and I hear again, “take only what you need”. I am made to be like Him, transformed into His image. It is written, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by Name; You are mine” Isaiah 43:11.

We are called to Him, taught of Him, Instructed by Him, In the world but not of it.

It is written, “The earth is the Lords, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein” Psalm 24:11. We dwell here, we are His, the land is His and as a people made righteous by Him, we will dwell here all the days of our life. (Psalm 37:29)

I require little; only to know Him, live simply and share the love of Jesus.

My brothers and sisters, again, it is not a question of “Can We?” Because, we can for His Word says we can.

We can inherit the land

We can preach

We can teach

We can love

We can heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.

The time is now, a powerful transition is being birthed. Let us take the Word of God as our daily bread, as our map, as our likeness everywhere that we go in praise, adoration and joy; with breathless expectation as the Holy Spirit opens up the mystery of the Word to fulfill the purpose of our daily life.

“God has marked out the plan of your life in His Word, and each day you will find some portion of it there. Nothing makes a man or woman of God stronger and more courageous than the assurance that he/she is living out the will of God. God Himself, who had your image portrayed in the scriptures, will see to it that the scriptures are fulfilled to you, if like His Son you will just surrender yourself to this as the highest object of your life.”

“Father God, I ask that You would reveal yourself to us and may we in wholehearted faith and obedience dwell in You. Strengthen in us the faith that You are our life and that You will fill us with Your humility if we will submit to be filled with You and Your Holy Spirit each and every day.

Lord our hope is in YOU! In faith in You we go into the world to show how the same attitude that was in You is also in Your children. Thank You God that You help us! In Jesus name, Amen”
